NEO Brussels is more than just a housing and retail project – it’s a cultural and leisure destination!
There are plenty of activities to do around Parc des Sports at Heysel Plateau.
These are just a few:
- Visiting the recently upgraded Mini-Europe park;
- Watching a film of your choice at Kinepolis – each of its 21 screens features the latest audiovisual technology;
- Being inspired by a series of monumental works of modern art (Europ’art art walk) – all for free;
- Going on a family day-out to the Cité des Enfants (The Children’s City) – inspired by Paris’ Cité des Sciences (Science and Industry Museum). A unique science-themed space for younger visitors, complete with interactive exhibitions.
The site also boasts a selection of historical monuments that are unrelated to the NEO Brussels project yet naturally enhance it. The most famous examples are the American Theatre, the Atomium and Design Museum Brussels. Joining them are Brussels Expo, featuring entertainment or culture exhibitions, and the ING Arena, hosting international concerts.
NEO will also be an occasion to upgrade Brussels Planetarium and embed it within the Parc des Sports. We are working on this project together with the Federal Buildings Agency, the Royal Observatory of Belgium and the Belgian Science Policy (Belspo).
We were serious when we said NEO would enhance the current setting and transform it into Belgian’s leading culture and leisure destination!
