August 2025: the Design Museum Brussels presents four magnificent exhibitions this summer!

The Design Museum Brussels presents four magnificent exhibitions this summer!

Neo Brussels continues its tour of its neighbours….

The first, very Californian, exhibition comes to us from the Design Museum in… London!

Until 14 September, “Skateboard” takes us back to the ’50s, with an “art” that has evolved from a children’s hobby into one of the most popular, accessible and spectacular sports in the world: skateboarding! Designs and performances have developed considerably over the years.

Skateboarding is also featured in a second exhibition, also open until 14 September: “Skateboard and Photography” brings together ten works by Belgian photographers of all generations who have turned their attention to the world of skateboarding. Each photograph tells a unique story of performance, passion, urban aesthetics and the freedom of skateboarding.

All the other offerings, initiated as part of Poland’s six-month rotating presidency of the European Union: “Looking Through Objects: Women in Contemporary Polish Design”. From product design to one-off pieces, 16 Polish women designers present their creations, illustrating the major role they play in Poland today. Until 28 September.

And as part of “Art Deco 2025”, the Design Museum presents “Between Paris and Brussels. The Art Deco period of the Baucher-Feron couple”. This exhibition explores the archives of the Baucher-Feron couple : design of textiles, lighting, objects, carpets and furniture during the Art Deco period).

Full details are available on the Design Museum Brussels website.

Film screenings are also planned, as are a number of exciting exhibitions this autumn!
