A decision was taken to do away with street parking and to free up space for extensive walkways and cycle paths so as to provide a welcoming space for pedestrians and cyclists. Underground car parks with 3,700 spaces and 200 spaces have been planned in the Europea project and Parc des Sports respectively. 

Parking C (ca. 10,000 spaces) will be used as an important car access point to all existing and future infrastructure and facilities on the redeveloped Heysel Plateau, thanks to a high-speed cable car and the pedestrian/cyclist link via the Parc de Verregat.
