Brussels Expo installing 178 electric stations on the Heysel Plateau.
Thank you and congratulations to Brussels Expo, who will soon be boasting one of the largest electric car recharging facilities in Belgium, which will be in operation from the opening of the Motor Show 2026.
It’s a great achievement for NEO Brussels.
Because our project incorporates a strong sustainable development strategy.
This is achieved across all levels: energy, water, protection of green spaces, construction of low-energy housing, etc.

D’Ieteren Energy is in the process of installing 178 charging stations, initially for visitors to Motor Show and then with the aim of offering the same service at the many events held every year at Brussels Expo.
This is great news because these stations represent:
⚡A complete ecosystem with charging cards and stations, solar panels, batteries and smart energy management solutions.
⚡An opportunity for visitors to the Heysel Plateau, and for employees of Brussels Expo, NEO Brussels and all the neighbouring organisations on the site.
⚡A further step to reinforce our eco-friendly positioning.
The NEO project integrates a strong sustainable development strategy across all levels:
- Rainwater collection and recycling.
- Local production of 20% of energy needs.
- Water-absorbent surfaces to enhance soil permeability.
- Protection of large trees and creation of ecological corridors.
- Rational use of materials and long-life construction: Each new infrastructure project complies with the latest standards and is designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
