Europea* aims to build 70,000 m2 of housing on the Heysel Plateau as part of the <\/span>NEO<\/a> Brussels<\/span> project<\/span><\/p>\n

70,000 m2 of housing is the equivalent of around 700 new homes of all types.\u00a0 Of which 15 to 25% are public housing (between 105 and 140 units).<\/span><\/p>\n

The housing dimension of the Neo project is crucial given the current (public) housing crisis in <\/span>Brussels<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the 15-minute city concept, neighbourhood residents will be able to get to their homes, the shops, childcare, a care home, a sports park, existing structures on the site, etc., in under 15 minutes by bike or on foot.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim is to create a green, ultra-modern urban district. A city with a good mix of functions, cutting-edge mobility, social connections, trades and leisure, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

The project aims to set a new standard in terms of architecture and sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>\n

As such, the partners of the NEO project are laying the foundation for a modern, connected urban district in Brussels.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Europea is the consortium that will build and operate this multi-purpose district, one of the components of the NEO investment programme (in addition to the sports park, a convention centre, new roads, etc.). The partners of this European consortium are URW (Unibail Rodamco Westfield), Besix and CFE.<\/span><\/p>\n
